ബെംഗളൂരു: ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി 30-40 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വേഗതയില്‍ വീശിയടിച്ച കാറ്റിനൊപ്പം പെയ്ത ഇടിമിന്നലോടെയുള്ള മഴയില്‍ നഗരത്തിന്റെ പല ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും വെള്ളക്കെട്ട് ഉണ്ടായി. റോഡുകള്‍ വെള്ളത്തിനടിയിലായി, ഗതാഗതക്കുരുക്കും ഉണ്ടായി. രാത്രി 11.30 വരെ ബെംഗളൂരു നഗരത്തില്‍ 21.6 മില്ലിമീറ്റര്‍ മഴയും എച്ച്എഎല്‍ വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ 6.7 മില്ലിമീറ്റര്‍ മഴയും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയതായി കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു.

നഗരത്തിന്റെ കിഴക്കന്‍, വടക്കുകിഴക്കന്‍ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും കോര്‍ ഏരിയകളിലുമാണ് മഴ പെയ്തത്. തെക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ മണ്‍സൂണ്‍ വടക്കേ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഏതാണ്ട് എല്ലാ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയുടെ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും പിന്‍വാങ്ങിയെങ്കിലും, ബെംഗളൂരു ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്ന തെക്കന്‍ ഉള്‍നാടന്‍ കര്‍ണാടകയില്‍ അത് ശക്തമായി തുടരുന്നുവെന്ന് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. ഇനിയുള്ള ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ മഴ ശക്തമായി തുടരുമെന്നാണ് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്.
