റിമ്പി: തുടർച്ചയായി പെയ്യുന്ന മഴക്കൊപ്പം സിക്കിമിൽ വൻ ഉരുൾപൊട്ടലും. ഗ്യാൽഷിംഗ് ജില്ലയിലെ റിമ്പി ഗ്രാമത്തിലുണ്ടായ ദുരന്തത്തിൽ സർക്കാർ ക്വാർട്ടേഴ്സുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ മുപ്പതോളം വീടുകൾ ഒലിച്ചുപോയി. ആളപായമൊന്നും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും പ്രദേശത്ത് കനത്ത മഴ തുടരുന്നതിനാൽ ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് അതീവ ജാഗ്രതാ നിർദേശം നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

അപകടസാധ്യതയുള്ള മേഖലകളിൽ നിന്ന് ജനങ്ങളെ സുരക്ഷിത സ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് മാറ്റിപ്പാർപ്പിച്ചു. സ്ഥിതിഗതികളിൽ കടുത്ത ആശങ്ക രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ സിക്കിം മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പ്രേം സിംഗ് തമാംഗ്, ജനങ്ങളുടെ സുരക്ഷയ്ക്കാണ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ പ്രഥമ പരിഗണനയെന്ന് അറിയിച്ചു. പ്രദേശവാസികളുടെ സംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി ആവശ്യമായ എല്ലാ അടിയന്തര നടപടികളും സ്വീകരിക്കാനും സ്ഥിതിഗതികൾ സൂക്ഷ്മമായി നിരീക്ഷിക്കാനും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രാദേശിക ഭരണകൂടത്തിന് നിർദേശം നൽകി.
